Iron Sheepdog is a startup looking to grow our premier technology solution to manage short haul trucking.

We work with companies and brokers to rethink fleet management. We are looking to build scalable and flexible services and systems, owning the technical vision and roadmap for our fleet management platform. If you’re a software engineer who’s curious and passionate about disrupting the dump truck hauling market in the best ways, we’d like to meet you.

Role Objectives
  • Work with product managers on strategy and roadmap development for short, medium and long term goals
  • Own the plan and delivery of mission critical projects
  • Work with engineering to make sure our software architecture is highly available and scalable
  • Promote best practices in software design, development, test and deployment
  • Drive operational excellence, identify success metrics and drive the continuous improvement of operational excellence
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related STEM discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working with high performance software teams
  • Excellent software project management skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, both technical and non-technical
  • Deep understanding of software architecture and software development best practices
  • Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Startup and transportation/construction industry experience a plus
